Alarm list for LUISA and prisma VENT devices

From now on you can track alarms triggered on LUISA and prisma VENT devices.

To access them, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the “Device” tab within the Patient Profile.
  2. Find the “Alarms” section.

By default, alarms for the last available therapy date are shown. You can use the date picker to select a period of up to 7 days within the last 30 to display alarms. Days with alarms available are marked with dots.

Note that there may be no alarms to display by default if:

  • No alarms were triggered during the last therapy date.
  • Last available therapy date is more than 30 days in the past.

Alarms within the selected period can be sorted by Priority or Time and are grouped by Code. Each group contains the last alarm occurrence sent by the device, and up to 19 or 9 first entries for LUISA and pVENT devices respectively.

You can view the content of each group. Alarms within a group are sorted by time, with the latest at the top.

Alarms fall into one of the two groups: Physiological or Technical.

For LUISA devices, you can manually trigger data sending from prisma CLOUD by clicking the button next to the filters.

Note that manual triggering is not available for Shared patients.

You can filter alarms by Priority or/and Group.

Note that alarms arrive to prisma CLOUD with a delay once a device transmitted data to prisma CLOUD.

Recent updates of prisma CLOUD (version 2.25.0)

[New] Night overview section in PDF report

PDF report for prisma SOFT/SMART and prisma VENT therapy devices is now extended with a new Night Overview section to help getting more insights into a patient’s therapy.

Night Overview section provides visualization of trends for pressure, leakage and therapy events, based on low-resolution curves data (one record every 2 minutes) received from therapy devices.

For more details, please refer to this article.

[New] Scheduled reminders

It is now possible to organize and keep track of different tasks by setting Scheduled Reminders from patients’ files.
To set up a new reminder concerning a particular patient open a patient file, go to ‘Reminders’ tab at the top of the page, and click ‘New reminder’ button.

When a due date is reached, corresponding patient is displayed on the top of patients lists (based on patient’s category) in ‘Scheduled’ section until a reminder is Snoozed or Completed.

[New] Export data from Patients tabs into CSV-file

Users with an access to Patients list can now create an export of all patients’ data into CSV-file for flexible usage and analysis. CSV-file export contains a flat list with same patients’ data that is visible in prisma CLOUD web UI.

General improvements of prisma CLOUD

  • More clarity on therapy data availability with comprehensive messages in patients’ accordions.
  • Disabling of data uploads with .pdat and .psstat file formats.

PDF Report – Night overview

Night Overview section provides visualization of trends for pressure, leakage and therapy events, based on low-resolution curves data received from therapy devices. In case this data is available within last 28 days of selected report period, each therapy day is printed on its own page (maximum 7 therapy days).

Low-resolution curves data (also called “trend curves”) is recorded 1 sample per 2 minutes in accordance with the following specification.

Signal Name Downsampling Specification prisma SOFT/SMART prisma VENT
Program Usage Program with highest portion of usage in storage epoch x
Therapy pressure (CPAP / APAP / EPAP / zero if therapy mode is HFT) Maximum value of storage epoch x x
Leakage Maximum value of storage epoch x x
Respiratory rate Median value of storage epoch x
Tidal Volume Median value of storage epoch x
Minute Volume Maximum value of storage epoch x
Ti/T Median value of storage epoch x
SpO2 Minimum value of storage epoch x
Pulse Rate Maximum value of storage epoch x
Spontaneous Inspirations/Expirations Portion of spontaneous inspirations in storage epoch x
oA at least one event during storage epoch x x
cA at least one event during storage epoch x
hPrA at least one event during storage epoch x x
oH at least one event during storage epoch x x
cH at least one event during storage epoch x x
RERA at least one event during storage epoch x
Snoring at least one event during storage epoch x

Important to know

  • prisma SOFT/SMART therapy devices transmit trend curves data only in case both conditions are met: (1) an SD-card is inserted into a device during therapy and transmission, and (2) device sends data upon automatic daily transmissions.
  • prisma VENT therapy devices transmit trend curves data only starting from 3.9.5 firmware version.

Recent updates of prisma CLOUD (Versions 2.22.0–2.23.0)

[New] Dedicated dashboard for ventilation telemonitoring patients’ category

Patients’ category NIV telemonitoring is renamed to Ventilation telemonitoring. From now on patients with this category will be listed under a dedicated tab – Ventilation.
The “old” Telemonitoring tab continues to be available, but renamed to SDB.
Compared to SDB tab, Ventilation tab introduces updated representation of therapy data:

  • • Compliance and leakage pie-charts are replaced with bar-charts.
  • • Observed time period is the same for all patients in the list, exact dates range is displayed above the table.
  • • Important therapy statistics, such as Respiratory rate (median), Tidal volume (median), and AHI are added to the first level view for easy access.

In order to provide a better readability for available data, the following tips introduced:

  • • Exact values for compliance and leakage are available in a tooltip on mouse hover over each bar.
  • • If no therapy data was received for a particular day, it can be easily recognized by ‘x’ sign for corresponding date.
  • • In case of manual trigger of data sending from a therapy device while therapy day is not closed yet, special formatting appears in charts for today’s date.

By default, patients’ entries are sorted by priority value, which is calculated in a way to put patients with potential issues in their therapy on the top of the list. Calculation period for priority value is based on the latest available therapy data, which is different for each patient. The exact dates range is indicated above statistics section in patient’s info card.

In addition, the dashboard is extended with device connectivity information section:

  • • Bars indicate whether any therapy data was received by prisma CLOUD from a device currently assigned to a patient.
  • • Date and time of the last data transmission from the device is displayed.

Patients with a category “SDB telemonitoring” will be still showed in “old” tab (SDB tab). It is permitted to assign more than one category to a patient, so therapy data of the same patient is available for monitoring in both tabs depending on preferred view.

[New] Indications for patients

Organization can define a set of Indications on Options > Indications page and assign those to patients. An indication assigned to a patient is indicated under the patient’s name under Ventilation tab (will be also available under SDB tab in future releases).

  • • Indications are defined only within one organization and are not visible to partner organizations for shared patients.
  • • Only one indication can be assigned to a patient.

With the help of indication it is now easy to categorize patients within an organization by desired attributes. For instance, we suggest creating indications to specify reasons to use certain therapy for a group of patients in your institution and to easily filter patients’ list by them.

Enhanced management for remote therapy devices configuration

  • • Flexible management of users’ permissions to remotely configure therapy devices settings: administrator of an organization is able to select which devices types a particular user is permitted to configure via prisma CLOUD.
  • • Patient’s history of device settings now contains entries associated with previous devices assigned to the patient if there were any.
  • • Bluetooth setting can be now switched on/off via remote configuration (only for prisma SMART/SOFT devices which support Bluetooth).

Extended features for notes in the patient record

  • • Users are now able to edit and delete their notes/comments;
  • • It is now possible to set visibility of a note/comment:
    • Private – visible only to an author of a note;
    • Local – visible to all users within author’s organization;
    • Global – visible also to users in other organizations which were granted access to that patient’s data.
      Please note, that content of patient’s notes/comments are not accessible via API.

Enhanced PDF report

  • Therapy Calendar in PDF report is extended with SpO2 data from prismaLINE therapy devices.

General improvements of prisma CLOUD

  • • Support for Turkish and Swedish languages.
  • • Numerous bug fixes and improvements, providing more reliability, performance and stability.

Recent updates of prisma CLOUD (Versions 2.19.0–2.21.0)

[New] Sharing patient records together with partner organisations

An organisation can now create and manage a partner organisation to share patient records with each other. When a patient record is shared, the corresponding partner organisation will also see this record in the patient list.

The following options can be defined via the “Partner organisations” menu for this purpose:

  • share all patient records created within your organisation;
  • share only certain patient records with a partner organisation;
  • allow your partner to change the configuration of a device assigned to a shared patient.

As long as you have shared a patient record, your partner organisation can:

  • view all personal data and information about the patient;
  • view information and therapy settings of a device assigned to that patient;
  • read therapy data and observe statistics;
  • generate a PDF report for this patient;
  • optimize the configuration of a device assigned to this patient (if authorized).

Patients whose records are shared with your organisation are marked with a special icon, so that these patients can be easily identified in the Dashboard.

You can stop sharing a patient record at any time by editing access to that patient in the patient card (in case of individual sharing) or by removing the corresponding authorization for a specific partner organisation.

[New] Write a note in the patient record

prisma CLOUD now offers a dedicated page with the patient’s personal data and information, where users can write a comment/note.

  • The notes are visible to everyone who has access to the patient record.
  • If a new comment/note has been added within the last 7 calendar days, a green icon appears next to the patient’s name in the patient list.
